I hope you are having a splendid Christmas!
This year I decided to write a Newsletter, because so much has happened this year. Most likely pictures will be implemented because I live my life with a camera!
Lets start at the beginning. January I turned 21 and celebrated with my roommates, Tricia and Sandy. (if you were unaware I moved to a house with two roommates November 2009) We had a Mock-tail Party (fun drinks minus the alcohol) it was a smash! We had a photo booth, food and friends over!
I received a dozen or so Cook books for Christmas and promised my family I would take on the challenge of learning to cook! And so I did! I made lots of different things.. Taco Soup, Chicken Spaghetti, and Crapes!
I started going back to church in January because of my roommates. It was like putting on an old pair of you jeans and finding that they aren't what you remembered. It all seemed new and different and I kind of liked it.
February was uneventful as far as I can remember... No Valentine to speak of this year, still waiting on Prince Charming! (If you see him could you tell him to call me!) I made Ravioli from Scratch, pancakes, berry pies, and I poached an Egg!! (you can wait to applaud till the end)
March was a mile stone! I started school! Be proud! I am officially a student at the University of Phoenix! As of right now I am on my way to getting a Bachelors Degree in Business... but that could change at any time, I'm not dead set on being a high class business woman. (although it sounds pretty good!) I made Lasagna, Decorated our Fridge to look like a cow, and made sugar cookies!
April came the end of my first College class. I got an A and am super excited to continue on. I didn't cook a whole lot because I was learning to balance work, school and work. But I did make Mondo-cookies (they pretty much have every sweet and crunch thing inside and are o-so YUMMY!!) I also made strawberry pies!
May brought my one year anniversary of breaking my foot! I am so Thankful for my ability to walk!! I also got a call from my old boss at Torrid asking me to come back to work for her. I thought about it and excepted on the condition that I only work weekends. She excepted and I was back in the fashion game once more! I hadn't realized how much I missed it! I didn't do a lot of cooking, but I did have a indoor camp out with the girlz...we made s'mores!!
June was extremely eventful! I sat threw 6 hours of movies with Krista! Guess what we watched? Twilight, New Moon and then Eclipse! The midnight Triple feature! and just encase you were wondering...I will never be doing that again!
I had a Jello fight at the park. (we pretty much had gallons of jello and threw it at each other! Best Ever!!!)
Misti came to visit and we took some pictures as a family.
I think they are pretty amazing pictures! One of my roommates decided to go on a mission and was called to serve in Alabama, where she is proudly serving now! I spoke in church her last Sunday. It was my first talk in almost 5 years. (if you didn't ketch that, I am back to church. I have found a part of myself that I didn't know was missing and I have never been happier!)
July was Hot! Remember I live in Arizona and it pretty much is like Heck in the Summer! It was Tricia's birthday and another party! This time a TV Icon themed party. Petty much an excuse for me and Tricia to dress up like Shawn and Gus! (if you don't know who they are I feel sorry for you! They are the main characters of PSYCH! our favorite TV Show!) I made a few pies and repainted the Kitchen.
August was pretty much the same as July...HOT! But I made the best of it by making Smoothies, cookies, and blueberry coffee cake. I died my hair Blonde, saw a D-Backs game and celebrated my nephews 1st Birthday! It was an Elmo themed party, so Fun! Payton stole my heart a year ago and well I never want it back! He can keep it!
September was slightly depressing. My beloved car broke! The Transmission went out and Luna died. She is currently parked at my parents house until further notice. I had girlz weekends and breakfast parties to help me get over the lose!
October was pretty much AMAZING!! It brought Halloween into a whole new light! I got to party it up with some awesome friends. First at a corn maze, then Branch Halloween party and finally at a Airplane Hanger!! Seriously Fun dance parties!!Also of note my favorite roommate got married! Tricia and Danny are super happy which is all that really matters but I miss her like crazy! I am now house mother and pretty much living alone, not my favorite!
November was a hard month. It had a lot of life lessons and many tear filled days. Work wasn't my favorite and after a hard morning I Quit my job. It wasn't the smartest move but I have never been happier! I will never have to see the Office Manger again!!!! YIPPEE!! (If you couldn't tell I really disliked her...I'm trying to be as nice as possible...) I was promoted at Torrid to a Keyholder! Which means I am one of 5 managers for the Holidays. It is what I love doing and am so glad I have the time to really focus on the job I love and my studies! I had a cleansing night with two of my favorite girl friends where we burned a few things we didn't want to remember. It was so great!!
Now it is December and I am trying to figure out what I want for my life... after the class I am in now, ends I will officially be a sophomore!! My first year went by so fast!, So do I keep on the same path toward business or change to something more me?
I have a lot of decisions ahead of me!
In one month I will be 22! Where do I want to be when I turn 23?
I hope you all are blessed and feel the love form a loving Heavenly Father! I plan to continue learning, laughing, taking pictures, writing, reading, cooking, working, making mischief and enjoying life in 2011! I hope you do the same!! Thank you SO MUCH for reading! It means the world to me that someone is listening besides my imaginary friend!
:)
1st, We need to talk about the Business Degree thing:-) My personal option is that it's a worthless degree, I know because I've had one for 5 years and look where it's gotten me, and no it's not just SD, I couldn't use it in VA either. At least explore other options:-)
