One Day at a time

I keep thinking that when life slows down again I will write more.  But... life hasn't found a need or want to slow down for me.  And when it does, I'm not sure I am paying attention or maybe I'm sleeping!
So let me sum up my February for you.
It started off slow and I really liked that.
First-
I watched the super bowl!  I was bored for most of it but thankfully Payton was there to keep me occupied while the adults watched the o-so-exciting game!  I was really only there to watch commercials and mingle with the family.  I succeeded!
But I was also excited for the half time show.  Which we only got to see because the old folks muted the TV so they could talk to my Aunt Lynn on the phone about how great the first half was or wasn't on speaker.  So Krista and I watched the Black Eyed Peas perform without music.  And let me tell you it wasn't half bad!  They had so many special effects, your eyes were happy and your ears didn't care.  But when the conversation was over our gracious host decided to re-wind the performance so we could watch it!  (so very nice of them!)  Krista, Aunt Eileen and I sang along and had a pretty good time re-watching the performance.  But I have to say my favorite part was the very end!  My 84 year old grandmother belted out the last note with Fergie.  It was extremely unexpected and completely uncharacteristic of her. Which made it all the more hilarious and just plain AWESOME!
Second-
I started working in the back yard, making everything pretty and what not.
My main motivation was that I wanted to host a bonfire.  But as the days went by I started to really like the satisfaction of working hard and accomplishing something!  By the time the party started the back yard didn't even look the same!  The Bonfire was major fun!  I brought out old bills, homework, work stuff, and pictures and burned them goodbye!  A few other people brought a few things but mostly they just helped me burn my plethora of crap.  It was very much enjoyable and I am already planning another one!
Third-
My store manager put in her two weeks notice.  Very unexpected and sad.  I have learned so much from her and am sad to see her leave.  The good news is now we can be friends.  The company doesn't permit employees of different levels to socialize outside of work.  It creates favorites, and less favorites in the work place.  (understandable)  Our new store manager is pretty much awesome and super organized!  I like organized! (She reminds my of my cousin Kyla, She labels everything!! LOL)  I am being taught the ropes of the Part-Time Assistant Mangers position.  I am looking forward to more hours and more responsibility.  Hopefully the switch will happen soon.  (I really hope so!) My team before it disbanded. Everyone except for Andee (my old manager) because the picture was taken for her.
Me, Kam in back, Dan in Front and Cindy on the other side.
Forth-
I had a girls night with Allie and Elena.  It was super fun and relaxing.  We watched chickflicks, ate things that shouldn't be grouped together, such as taco flavored chips and thin mint cookies.  But O it was fun!
Fifth-
Threw out the entire month I have been making flowers, bows and recently rings.  I started the end of last year with Allie and Elena, and well it has taken over my life.  Anytime I am watching TV, bored or just want to ignore the world I pick up my hot glue gun and some fabric and well this happens...

And Many Many More!!!

Thanks for reading!!
