My parents and I all got Kindles for Christmas from "Santa"
:)
I'm not telling you this to brag...
I am telling you as a pretext to my thoughts for the evening
I have always wanted to write, paint, or create something that will be loved.
Most of the time I just think I will have to have children.
(isn't that the way you make lasting love, even after you are gone?)
But every once and a while I have a moment where I believe I could paint a masterpiece, sculpt a priceless piece or write something everyone will want to read.
But as I go threw the millions and billions of books out there on Amazon..
I start to get depressed...
Millions of books are written each year that no one will ever read,
or maybe only two people will every read.
Why write if no one will enjoy it?
BUT
I guess you should do it for yourself.
I should paint because I want to.
Write because I have a story or two to tell.
Create because I need to to feel alive.
Time to enjoy life for myself...
Unfortunately, the downfall of genius is that it needs an audience. If you're going to create something, create it with passion and resonance. Don't just make something just to make it. If people can read or look at what you create and feel SOMETHING they can identify with, it will be enjoyed.
