I am Woman!!

I have recently come to the conclusion that "Helpless" is a frame of mind not an existence or a being. I am only as help less as I let myself. My car recently decided to break... and I felt help less, not just because I couldn't fix it but because I was undereducated. I have never taken the time to learn anything but the basics (oil, tires, gas ex.) and I have to rely on others to tell me what is wrong and count on them to help me fix it or point me in the right direction. Thankfully I have my Daddy who still comes to my rescue!
My new goal is to learn! I want to know what the squeaking could be without asking someone! I want to be able to look at my engine and know what every part does and why it is important!
And yet that doesn't just extend to my car! Its life in general, I started cooking because I was tired of everyone one upping me (especially Kyla! Seriously your 11 year old Cousin should not be able to cook better then her 21 year old cousin!) I also want to take charge of my life and start eating better. I am by no way a master and well i still don't cook every meal but well I am confident that I could make anything! There is nothing I cant do!
Taking that "Nothing I cant do" seriously I decided to use some of the skill I was blessed with the decorate the bathroom. But painting the wall one color is just not me so... I figured accents would be better. Swirly's in blue and silver, and the rest of the room to match. And the best part I decided it was time to buy a new toilet seat! And I took the old one off and installed the new one all by my womanly self!! (I am feeling pretty proud of my self right now)
I even bought a white canvas and tried my hand at painting again. (I had forgotten how exhilarating it can feel to have a paint brush in my hand!) So take a look, I am not done by far! There is still the shower curtain and bath accessories but for now it just makes me smile!

Thanks for reading!

  1. Wish I was there! I could show you a thing or two about basic car maintenance, woman to woman. ;) As it is, you should be able to successfully change a tire, replace the battery, or check the oil with someone to teach you. It's all within your power! I can hear you roar. ;)
