Moving day

So you decided to move to Albuquerque... How do you go about doing that?

First you tell everyone and become the center of attention... Going away parties are the best!! Then you start to actually say goodbye, with the snot and tears. Realizing that after the fun is over you are really leaving. And you aren't coming back anytime soon...

Then you start to pack everything you own into boxes.  Try not to get hung up on the mementoes, they are not a waste of time but its a waste of your time now!
Use packing tape on the bottom... Use A LOT!  Don't skimp!
Clothing is a great way to pack glass stuff!  You don't need bubble wrap when you can use a skirt!

Get a Uhaul and car trailer. Learn to drive it, meaning joy rides with an excited 4 year old as your co-pilot!  He will think its awesome!

Get some help loading the truck... And leave space for the last minute finds!  You will be surprised the things you forgot that you own!

After your packed, sleep... (May not be possible for everyone, depending on your nerves.)

Get up at an ungodly hour and eat your wheaties! (A nutritional breakfast is the best way to start the day!)

Convince an old guy that its in his best interest to accompany you across state lines.
In this case we will use an Uncle.
Get into your giant truck and start out on your brand new journey!
After about 2 hours, convince the old dude that he needs to drive. (Then let him drive for 4hours because he is really good at driving) :)
Stop at random truck stops and pick up food with less than no nutritional value.  Make sure there are plenty of snacks and drinks. But don't forget the corn dog!

Talk about everything from work, to family and if the conversation dies down, ask the old dude about his glory days.  Let the stories begin! (You might even learn something from the old fart!)

Arrive at your destination and enjoy an awesome meal with new friends!
Sit outside in the 78 degree weather and enjoy!

Of course you will eventually have to unpack the huge truck but really you can think about that tomorrow!

P.S. thanks uncle papa for being the best co-pilot/uncle/old fart/Mari believer/ and all around great man! You are the best and I don't know how to say thank you enough! Love You!!!!
